ASSESSMENT
The assessment procedure shall be governed by Article 135.1(v) of the Statutes of the University of Murcia, Article 8.6 of the Student Assessment Regulations (Reglamento de Evaluación de Estudiantes, REVA), and General Secretary Instruction SG 16/2026 of the University of Murcia, which provides guidance on the interpretation and application of these regulations. The document is available at the following link:

To pass the course, students must obtain a minimum overall mark of 5 out of 10 and achieve at least 50% of the weighting assigned to each assessment component (SE1, SE3, SE4 and SE6).
In cases where students are entitled to sit the special assessment session for justified circumstances, the examination may take the form of either a multiple-choice test or short-answer questions, at the discretion of the course coordinator.
During the academic call in which the course is taught, there is no entitlement to retake continuous assessment components, except in the cases provided for under Article 8.6 of the REVA. Students who have not participated in continuous assessment may opt for global assessment through a theoretical-practical examination designed to assess the achievement of all intended learning outcomes. This examination will consist of:
- An objective test assessing the acquisition of the theoretical content of the course (50%).
- One or more practical case studies, assessing the acquisition of the practical competences developed in the course (50%).
Marks obtained through continuous assessment (SE3, SE4 and SE6) will be retained for subsequent examination sessions until the course is taught again, unless students request a retake of assessment components that have not been passed.
Students wishing to exercise their right to a retake must notify the course instructor by email within five days of the publication of the examination announcement on the Virtual Classroom (AV).
- SE3 may be retaken by submitting the Practice-Based Project (Groups 1, 2, 4, 5 and Z) or the Research Project (Group 9) through the Assignments tool within the deadlines specified in the examination announcement published in the Virtual Classroom (AV).
- SE4 may be retaken through the oral defence of the corresponding project on the date specified in the examination announcement published in the Virtual Classroom (AV).
- SE6 may be retaken by submitting a reflection and analysis task designed to assess students’ ability to integrate the theoretical and practical content of the course.
