Today, Social Security is a legal segment of transcendental importance Its protective action has achieved a relevance and social impact that was unimaginable just a few years ago Its effects on economic issues, not only in terms of beneficiaries, but also, and fundamentally, in terms of the State's economic-financial system, are well known
    In addition, we are faced with an extensive body of constantly evolving legislation, which is undoubtedly of a technical nature

    The aim of the subject Social Security Law is to introduce students to the study of the legal regime of the Social Security system as a whole To this end, students will work on the acquisition of

    the skills and knowledge that will allow the student to know, understand and apply the sources of regulation of Social Security Law, with the necessary extension so that he/she can begin to develop professionally in this field

    1. Basic competencies
      • CB2: Que los estudiantes sepan aplicar sus conocimientos a su trabajo o vocación de una forma profesional y posean las competencias que suelen demostrarse por medio de la elaboración y defensa de argumentos y la resolución de problemas dentro de su área de estudio
      • CB3: Que los estudiantes tengan la capacidad de reunir e interpretar datos relevantes (normalmente dentro de su área de estudio) para emitir juicios que incluyan una reflexión sobre temas relevantes de índole social, científica o ética

    Expository class activities: theoretical exposition, master class, projection, etc., aimed at the large group, regardless of whether its content is theoretical or practical. In addition to the presentation of knowledge, in the classes questions are raised, doubts are clarified, examples are given, relations are established with the different practical activities that are carried out and the search for information is guided.

    SE1 Pruebas escritas (exámenes): pruebas objetivas, de desarrollo, de respuesta corta, de ejecución de tareas, de escala de actitudes... realizadas por los estudiantes para mostrar los conocimientos teóricos y prácticos adquiridos.

    Written tests (exams): objective, developmental, short answer, task performance, attitude scale. tests carried out by students to show the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired

    70 % of the final grade will correspond to the mark obtained in the final exam of the course

    In the ordinary exam, the exam will consist of a written test of 30 theoretical-practical questions The correction system for this exam will be as follows: there will only be one correct answer to each question; each question answered incorrectly subtracts 1/3 of a correct answer (every 3 questions answered incorrectly subtracts 1 correct answer); blank questions will not be penalised In the incidence call, the exam will be a written exam with long questions of theoretical-practical content

    The examination shall be graded from 0 to 10 The marks thus obtained shall be weighted at 70 %

    The teacher may take into account the participation and other additional activities carried out by the student throughout the course, in order to improve this grade

    In January, as the subject is taught during the second term, the exam will account for 100% of the student's grade

    STUDENT EVALUATION REGULATIONS

    Article 8.6 of the Student Evaluation Regulation (REVA) provides that "except in the case of activities defined as compulsory in the teaching guide, if the student is unable to follow the continuous evaluation process due to duly justified supervening circumstances, he/she shall be entitled to take a global test".

    It is also recalled that Article 22.1 of the Student Evaluation Regulations (REVA) stipulates that "the student who uses fraudulent conduct, including the improper attribution of identity or authorship, or is in possession of means or instruments that facilitate such conduct, will obtain a grade of zero in the evaluation procedure and, where appropriate, may be subject to sanction, after opening disciplinary proceedings".
