  2. Presentation

The course "Reproductive Technologies in Livestock Species of Veterinary Interest" aims to introduce students to the fundamentals of reproductive biotechnologies in livestock species relevant to veterinary science. It seeks to provide students with the necessary competencies—knowledge, skills, and attitudes—to correctly perform reproductive procedures. Throughout the course, both theoretical and practical topics will be covered, including applications of ultrasonography on the reproductive system, ovulation and pregnancy diagnosis, artificial insemination, hormonal synchronization treatments, and embryo transfer, among others. These technologies play a crucial role in livestock farming by enabling the control and manipulation of animal reproduction, improving the genetic quality of herds, and optimizing the production of animal-based food. They represent a powerful tool for the livestock industry, contributing to its sustainable development and promoting the well-being of both animals and producers.
